Taking its cues from the Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis — the plane that made the first solo flight across the Atlantic — the Daphne 1 Light Small Pendant takes you on an inspirational flight of the imagination. The matte black and French gold fins on this dynamic design echo the radial engine that powered the aircraft on its record-setting flight (the collection takes its name from a photo of a woman named Daphne observing a placard honoring the event). As a single pendant light over a powder-room vanity, breakfast nook, hallway, or entryway, Daphne reads designer rather than stock, clustered above a kitchen island in threes or fives, the small scale stacks beautifully as kitchen island pendant lights. Hand-forged from 70% recycled steel, hand-finished in matte black with French Gold edges, low-VOC paint and small-batch assembly throughout.
