Connecticut Lighting Centers is known for excellent customer service. We provide the safest, fastest, and most reliable shipping methods available.
Free Shipping
Free Shipping* on orders over $99. *Our $99-and-above free shipping promotion applies to most small- and medium-sized orders and excludes discounted products. Larger items may require a freight carrier and may incur an oversized item surcharge. Freight deliveries are to curbside or driveway only. We will notify you of any freight costs before shipment. Free-eligible items ship via Ground Carrier.
Sales Tax
We charge applicable state sales tax on all orders shipped to Connecticut and Massachusetts. For orders shipped outside Connecticut, you are responsible for paying any required taxes within your jurisdiction.
In-Store Pickup
You may purchase online and pick up at one of our Connecticut Lighting Centers showrooms. A confirmation email will be sent after your order is placed, and we will contact you when your product(s) are available for pickup.
Small Parcel Shipping
All smaller, lighter items ship via ground carrier (FedEx, UPS, USPS).
Large, Over-Sized Items (Freight)
- Larger items ship via freight carrier. Freight deliveries are to curbside or driveway only and may incur an oversized item surcharge.
- Shipping cost is determined by the manufacturer’s box dimensions and weight.
- An adult (18+) must be available to accept the delivery.
- Most carriers will contact you to schedule a delivery time (typically a 2–4 hour window, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.).
- Inspect the shipment at delivery and note any visible packaging damage on the delivery receipt before signing. This is the customer’s responsibility.
- If the carrier cannot contact you, you are responsible for any storage fees, return freight to the manufacturer, and original shipment expenses.
White Glove Delivery
For the safest and most convenient delivery, many large and fragile products can be delivered by White Glove freight carrier. To request this service, call (860) 578-1948. Web order customer service hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Extra charges apply. The product can be delivered inside your home to the desired room, unpacked, and packaging removed. No setup of merchandise or electrical work will be performed.
Shipping Notifications
When your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email. Once a tracking number is available, we will email it so you can track your shipment. For freight shipments, you will receive an auto-confirmation, followed by our contact with a delivery date and estimated time window.

Web Orders: Return Policy
We strive to deliver excellent customer service. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we offer a 14-day return policy.
- All returns are subject to a restocking fee. You will be notified at the time of ordering if an item is not eligible for return.
- Please inspect all merchandise upon receipt.
- To process a web order return, call (860) 578-1948 or email weborders@ctlighting.com within 3 business days to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Customer service hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. All returns must include an RMA provided via email or fax after you contact us.
- Returns will not be accepted beyond 14 days of receipt.
- Items purchased online can be returned to any Connecticut Lighting Centers showroom within 14 days at your expense. Please bring your original order receipt.
- Returnable items must arrive in original condition: new, unused, unaltered, uninstalled, not laundered or assembled (e.g., no cut/clipped wires, no contact with water).
- No writing on the shipping carton; include all original packaging and accessories.
- Items sold in bulk/multiple quantities must be returned in the same quantity as sold.
- Items returned without an RMA or not in the same condition as received are not eligible for credit.
- Please allow 7–14 days from receipt for credit processing.
Items Excluded from Returns
- Items marked and sold as Clearance or Final Sale.
- Custom orders (non-cancellable and non-returnable).
- Products not installed by a licensed professional are not covered by warranty/return.
- All shipping charges on returns are non-refundable.
- All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Returning Items
Small Parcel (Ground Carrier)
For standard ground shipments, we will issue an RMA for the product(s). Initial shipping charges are non-refundable. Buyer pays return shipping on exchanges.
Large, Oversized (Freight Carrier)
For freight shipments, we will arrange pickup. Initial shipping charges are non-refundable. Buyer pays return shipping on exchanges.
White Glove Orders
Contact us to arrange returns for White Glove deliveries. Initial shipping charges are non-refundable. Buyer pays return shipping on exchanges.
Web Orders: Damaged & Defective Merchandise
- If you have received any damaged or defective products, contact Connecticut Lighting Centers. Email us at clcweborders@ctlighting.com and within 3 business days and we will send you a Return Merchandise Authorization. Our web order customer service hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 am-5:00 pm. We will confirm the Returns Good Authorization within 2 business days, Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays.
- If you refuse a package due to damage, call us immediately.
- Date and sign the delivery receipt; if you notice damage, write “Damage” on the receipt.
- If an item is returned as damaged/defective but is found to be in good condition, a 25% restocking fee and applicable shipping fees will apply.
- We are not responsible for damage caused by other persons/companies (e.g., electricians, contractors).
- Finishes and colors may appear different in person due to monitor variations; this is not considered a defect.
- Returnable items must arrive in original condition: new, unused, unaltered, uninstalled, not laundered or assembled (e.g., no cut/clipped wires, no contact with water).
- No writing on the shipping carton; include all original packaging and accessories.
- Manufacturers that require bulk/multiple quantities must be returned in the same quantity as sold.
- You may be asked to submit photos.
- Please allow 7–14 days from receipt for credit processing.
