Receiving the 2026 Humanitarian Award was an honor that reflects our team's ongoing commitment to service, both within our industry and here at home.
Each year, we're proud to support the American Lung Association's LUNG FORCE Walk, helping raise awareness and funds for lung cancer research, early detection, education and patient support. Carol Director's participation alongside the Hartford HealthCats team reflects the spirit of the event, where every step represents hope for individuals and families affected by lung disease.
From the very beginning, Connecticut Lighting Centers has supported and participated in the Lustgarten Foundation’s 18th Hole Stroll, helping the event grow from the ground up. The Stroll brings together families, businesses and supporters around one shared goal: advancing pancreatic cancer research. We’re proud to continue standing behind an event that has raised more than $1 million to help fund lifesaving research and support the fight against pancreatic cancer.

For generations, the Director family has supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut, guided by the belief that every child deserves a mentor and someone in their corner. That commitment began when Arthur Director helped establish Connecticut's first chapter alongside Bernie Fields and continues today through ongoing involvement with an organization that changes lives, one relationship at a time.
Co-founded by Connecticut Lighting Centers CEO David Director, the Interfaith Golf Tournament brings together Congregation Adath Israel in Middletown, St. Mary's Parish in Portland and members of the community in support of local causes. Thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors, volunteers and participants, all proceeds benefit charities throughout Greater Middlesex County.
