Whether you’re interested in customizing a dream home or simply admiring the work of local builders, the Parade of Homes is a family-friendly event!

Partnership with Connecticut Lighting Centers

Many homes along the 2018 Parade of Homes were built and remodeled by our partners in the home improvement industry. For instance, many By Carrier custom-built communities feature our lighting, decorative hardware and home accents. We have built strong relationships with local builders, who trust our high-quality products to bring style and functionality to their beautiful homes!

We invite everyone to attend the 2018 Parade of Homes. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center! Learn more about the event and apply our discount code “CTLIGHTING” visit the HBRA of Central CT website.

David Director Wins NBBBS Visionary Leader Award

We are proud to announce that our President, David Director, has been awarded a Visionary Leader Award by Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters (NBBBS). The honor was presented at the organization’s annual Children’s Champions Awards at the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, CT.

A Tradition of Giving Back

Visionary Leader AwardAt Connecticut Lighting Centers, we have always believed that giving back to the community is not a choice, but a way of life. Our family is devoted to supporting local organizations.

NBBBS is Connecticut’s largest volunteer mentoring network. When David Director was in college, he was an adult mentor. The Director family has continued this tradition over the years. His daughter Jenna was a Big Sister when she was a college student and David’s youngest son Brett is currently a mentor with Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters.

David is being recognized for conceptualizing and funding a multi-year leadership program for Little Brothers and Little Sisters. This new program is called the Arthur Director Littles-To-Leaders Program and his named in honor of David’s father, the late Arthur Director – who was a legendary business leader, philanthropist and one of the founders of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters. The program will recognize at least 4 Little Brothers and Sisters each year who will engage in a program involving outdoor adventures, experiential learning and leadership training. The ‘Littles’ in the program will be joined by their ‘Bigs’ for most of this great program.

Preview at the Southington Showroom

Nicole and Mike from HSMB got a sneak peek of our new Southington showroom, before we officially opened its doors in December 2017. They chose a few fixtures for The Clamdigger, including a chandelier for the dining room and an LED fixture that would look great in a hallway! Not only does HSMB come to us for lighting and proper placement, we are also their source for cabinet and door knobs.
